About the RC8B4.2

Advanced Suspension Geometry

The RC8B4.2e features a redesigned front-end geometry focused on improving steering consistency and overall balance throughout the steering throw. Reduced kingpin inclination steering blocks place the wheel pivot closer to the center of the tire, helping the buggy maintain predictable handling in high-speed corners and rough track sections. Updated suspension arm designs also allow racers to fine-tune chassis flex and stiffness characteristics, making it easier to adapt the buggy to different surfaces and driving styles. Combined with adjustable rear hub inserts and multiple flex tuning options, the suspension package delivers a highly tunable racing platform.

Efficient and Durable Drivetrain

Team Associated redesigned the gearbox layout on the RC8B4.2 to increase drivetrain efficiency and reduce vibration under acceleration. The front gearbox utilizes an inclined pinion angle that helps straighten the center driveshaft, minimizing driveline phasing and improving power transfer to the wheels. Larger flanged bearings and strengthened gearbox components improve durability and extend the life of critical drivetrain parts during demanding race conditions.

Updated Differential

The RC8B4.2e receives several important differential updates designed to improve consistency, tuning options, and durability on modern high-grip tracks. Updated HTC internal differential gears help create smoother operation while increasing oil capacity and gear durability under heavy racing conditions. The buggy also features adjustable differential height settings, allowing racers to fine-tune driveline angles and chassis behavior to better suit varying track conditions. These updates combine to deliver more predictable handling, improved traction, and enhanced drivetrain efficiency throughout a run.
